Bohemian Rhapsody
A performance de Rami malik é simplesmente impecável e acho que é por esse motivo que gosto do filme, mas não é o melhor roteiro/edição....
Bohemian Rhapsody
Loved the Rami Malek performance, and the third act so much than the rest of the film (despite the CGI over-reliance). To be a Queen Tribute, looks so mundane, in a tiny and slightly insulting way, the structure was TOO MUCH inconsistent and the direction was not so clear. The production design, the music and the acting make it a little bit decent, or interesting at least; but this not deserve much of the Oscar nominations, i'm so sorry. Anyway... we'll always have Queen. BTW: 🎵One dump, One Turd, Two Tits, John Deacon🎵
Bohemian Rhapsody
honestly this film isn't as bad as many of you are making it seem to be but i can't really talk because i don't know much of freddie mercury or queen in general and i don't really think i learned much about them even after watching this for the second time. even though i don't think a lot of what happened in the film happened in real life because for some reason biopics do it a lot it's pretty solid and i had a fun time watching it. i loved the music, some of the costumes, and rami malek's performance.
Bohemian Rhapsody
What a shame. What an honest shame. Freddie Mercury is arguably one of the most iconic vocalists of all time, and it was about time that there was a biopic about his life. While I may not have the personal connection that most people have to Queen's music, since I didn't grow up listening to it and really am not the biggest fan of the music, I still have a massive amount of respect for the band. When I heard there was going to be a film about the band, I was very intrigued to see how they would commemorate his legacy. Unfortunately, Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't do justice to Mercury's story, or Queen's story either. While there are many scenes that are emotional, a majority of the film is based around known facts, seeming to put Mercury and Queen's Wikipedia page on the screen. Biopic's cannot add anything new to the story, but should be able to put it in a new light, and Bohemian Rhapsody failed to do so. A majority of this is due to the writing, since many scenes seemed to fall flat, leaving you wanting more. While scenes do fall flat, the acting is good. Malek did a very good job at keeping Mercury's spirit, and from what I've seen of his performances, managed to keep his electricity that so many fell in love with. Is it one of the best performances that I've seen this year? Unfortunately no, but I'm glad to see that Malek is getting recognition, since he is a very good actor, but I don't think this was the role that should have been highlighted. The rest of the cast was good, but really didn't seem to stand out. It's very interesting to see how the Academy seemed to love this film, since the public has certainly had a very different opinion. I have to agree, it's a fun film, but ultimately a film that has more cons than pros. It's a shame that this film was originally in the hands of Bryan Singer, since it could have been a great film if there were someone who a) wasn't a pedophile and b) had a more concise script. It's hard to distance the film from the director, and even if Singer only directed a few scenes, he still is attached to the project, so it's hard to fully enjoy the film. Ultimately, Bohemian Rhapsody is a film that falls flat, even if it has some decent performances. It's a shock to see that this was nominated for Best Picture, as I have seen a majority of the films and it definitely does not fit in this year. Not every film is going to be a hit, and this one is a box office hit, but public reception is more important, and this film fails at that level. I wish they would have been able to commemorate Mercury's and Queen's legacy in a better way, since they really do deserve better treatment.
