“naiintindihan mo na ba ako” ”gets ko na.” raw, simple, poignant, brave is how i would describe this film. its a film that has something to say and my god they delivered it so well. its direct to the point, its bold, its in your face, it shows you the reality of what the women in this country go through when it comes to reproductive health. nakakaiyak, nakakalungkot isipin na our women has to depend on unsafe abortion just because the men violated their body — mary grace’s tito raped her and miggy not pulling out when he said he will — and just because abortion is illegal. i don’t think my mind has fully processed the film in a way that my thoughts are still all over the place and dont know where to start even if 2 hours has passed since i watched the movie. there are so many key moments in the movie and i want to talk abt it all, but let me stick to at least 3. one, sunshine and geleen’s (jennica) relationship, specifically yung part na tinabihan niya si sunshine sa kama para sabihin na sinusuportahan niya si sunshine sa kung ano mang desisyon niya, CRIED HARDDDD!!! kasi ramdam mo na conflicted siya in terms of abortion pero si sunshine ang priority niya at kung ano magpapasaya at magpapalaya kay sunshine iyon ang lagi niyang pipiliin. im glad that sunshine has an ate like her, i wish i had one too and i’m hoping to be a good of an ate like geleen. two, the whole sequence between mary grace and sunshine, it was sooo heartbreaking and so shattering to think na ito ang reyalidad ng napakaraming kabataan hindi lang sa pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo. our children deserves better. lastly, when sunshine finally perfected her routine, she looks so free, so happy, so contented, you just know she already made her decision. it was such a beautiful scene, its just her and her routine and the kid — her kid — watching her and finally understanding her. sobrang nakakaiyak. “gets ko na” such a simple statement but made me cry so hard wow. gets na gets talaga. great performances all around din talaga especially to maris racal grabe napakagaling, literal na wala talaga ako ibang masabi kundi sobrang sobrang galing wow. jennica garcia na hindi rin talaga maipagkakaila ang galing, ang onti lang ng scenes niya pero lahat may impact. and siyempre who would forget rhed bustamante na napakagaling din. sound design and cinematography are on point din talaga, i especially love those parts when sunshine drowns out the noise. writing this made me realize that the whole film, the ones who made the most impact are women. oh women, i hope one day the world will be kinder to us. i think i have said enought but i really hope that this film would be a way for people to be more open minded when it comes to the discussion of abortion and sana itong pelikulang ito ay maging daan rin para mas lalong maraming pang tao ang sumama sa laban na gawing legal ang safe abortion practices sa bansa. and to direk tonet thank you for sharing us your craft and for meticulously creating this film. you delivered its message very well! kudos to you direk and to everyone involved!

Putangina, I love this movie cuz this movie is teaching about life and some sex education, but in the other hand it pmo especially for the child, it might be sound controversial but let her do what she wants to do. Everything you want to do, we still love you Sunshine 💛 Anyway Ariana, what are you doing here? 😂

Would've been better for me if they didn't edit the 'bad guy' like that.
