The first third of this movie is pretty awful, so much cringe and poor story telling. The second third is better, with some funny parts and decent development. The final third is pretty entertaining, I’m not sure it’s good cinema, but it’s entertaining. Watching Venom fight was fun and I do like the idea of the different symbiotes taking hosts and trying to take over earth. Riot can Venom was good. Not as awful and some people say and still very much enjoyable.

Venom is a very clever idea for a film, with a good cast but somehow lacks anything interesting. There is literally explanation as to what’s going on, or why the boy is being held hostage, in the end it’s just money but it all seems a bit silly. The scenes with the snake are by far the best and the fact they used a real snake makes it even more impressive. Not terrible but not great, a bang average film, enjoyably British though. That wraps it up, Hooptober is now finished for 2021. I left it too the last minute, watching this on Halloween but hey it was all worth it. Very enjoyable, watched some bad and some great. Further elaboration will be in the Hooptober list, till next year Hoop.
