Diary Entry forDays of Heaven
beautiful cinematography, beautiful score, beautiful actors. unfortunately, the editing feels half-assed. i had such high expectations for this movie and i was let down. it's a shame because i really wanted to love it.

Days of Heaven
Managed to catch a revival showing at the local indie, an intimate space with a just-big-enough-screen to do this film justice. Such luminous landscapes, interiors, close-ups, with seemingly the whole host of history's laborers silhouetted against that enduring twilight. Malick's stream of visuals suit this tale very well, connecting the micro to the macro in a general rush of beautifully captured and voice-over'd Time, and with character stories flowing as surely and unavoidably as the rivers they all rest and run in.
Days of Heaven
Now 5 star, forgot how intriguing the story was. Contender for the best-looking film of all time. Arguably my favorite Malick.

Days of Heaven
this film teaches us that we will live in a perpetual cycle if we don't let go of the past. bill thought their lives would change when the farmer died, but the farmer didn't die, and their lives certainly did. this film also teaches us to live more honestly. Nobody is perfect You have a half evil and half angel this story is presented so beautifully in every frame. the essence of this film that i grasped is that we must be brave, do good, and be honest. otherwise, we will return to square one, and our sacrifices will be in vain.
