The movie's emotion is flat-out missing, and the beginning is a downright boring. Hawk, who we thought would be awesome, is a total dud, and those dragons? They're just tacked-on decorations. And that so-called epic battle? Yeah, it's a massive disappointment and pretty much ruins the whole film.

cara eu to simplesmente sem palavras pra descrever o que eu acabei de assistir. esse filme me irritou em varios niveis pq trouxe mtos acontecimentos consigo. assassinato, escravização, feitiçaria, dragões e etc. e no fim, não conseguiu liGar nenhuma dessas coisas. parece que são informações soltas. fui assistir pela capa mas me decepcionou 👎🏻 ou eu que não sou sensível o suficiente pra entender a relação de tudo preciso fazer a piada do “ELES TAO VINDO” de novo pq o protagonista sente que ta sendo perseguido o tempo todo KLKKKKKK

Snooze. While I’m glad to have read the books before watching the adaptation, I think no matter the order I wouldn’t have liked this film either way. There’s over 50 minutes where nothing interesting happens and to top it off the animation is shockingly mediocre, lacking all depth and detail of Hayao’s films. Maybe the worst Ghibli.
