I loved the first so watched the second and again, such a deep movie for being a movie tailored towards kids, the deeper message really does sit deep after finishing the movie. But just like the first, animation is brilliant, the jokes and humour as still as funny as the first and even though the overall concept is similar to the first it still gave a fresh take on it.

Zootopia 2

Still as wildly fun as the first, purr-fect jokes, and a twist that totally goat me.

Zootopia 2

Wow... this is another level of wokeness in Woketopia. It lowkey reminds me of how shitty people with power can be. If I could recommend something for them to watch that would slap some sense into them, I would gladly recommend this.

Zootopia 2

I did a double feature today of Hamnet and Zootopia 2, and I went in thinking this was going to be way better. But I gotta say, I was actually disappointed by Zootopia 2. I left the theater more confused by the world within the film. They try introducing more into the world of Zootopia, but it’s so fast paced that it feels like they don’t ever spend enough time on interesting side characters. I also felt like both Judy and Nick’s character got a little worse. It felt like their characters had more depth in the first film, but it’s not so bad that you don’t recognize them. I guess what I mean by this is that their characters were a lot more subtle in the first film where in here, they play off self awareness as a joke way too much. The antagonists also don’t make any sense when you think about it, and kinda ruin the entire premise behind the first film. The entire plot of Zootopia felt like a creative mystery with a powerful message, while the second feels so generic and contradictory to the point that it really sinks in that it’s more of a cash grab than anything. However, I don’t want to say all is lost within the sequel. First off, we got Ke Huy Quan as Gary De’Snake (freaking amazing), and secondly, the relationship between Judy and Nick, while is generally worse than before, still has some great moments within the film that sometimes surpass the first film, and third off, not only is the copaganda much less than the first film, it also incorporates themes about gentrification. 5/10.
