I think I may be on the opposite end of the spectrum bcus I haven’t read or watched Salem’s Lot beforehand so this is my first viewing and adaptation of the story. And honestly I don’t hate it - was it amazing? Nothing to scream about but did I enjoy watching it absolutely

SPOOKTOBER #4 I can’t speak about the original version, but this version could have been made better, I watched the whole thing just for Lewis Pullman. I guess he made the suffering worth it haha

this certainly was a movie i watched. two stars is sort of pushing it, but i got a good laugh in midway through and lewis pullman was affable enough

Não ironicamente o Hooper nesse projeto é algo que faz total sentido. Ele tem uma classe, uma sofisticação narrativa tão único, mas ainda sem perder o lado B de sua filmografia. Não é um classismo que vem de um Ford, um Hawks, um Walsh da vida, mas ele é tão redondinho, tem um desenrolar e umas rimas visuais muito interessantes na primeira metade e na segunda ele abraça a frontalidade de uma cidade com vampiros, olhos falsamente brilhantes e crucifixos que os queima e os repele. O visual do vampiro é basicamente o Nosferatu do Murnau e gosto como existe essa aura misteriosa em torno do Sr. Barlow. É uma lógica televisiva, afinal foi pensado pra ser uma minissérie? Sim, mas ainda sim você vê essas 3 horas passando de forma suave. Bom demais.

holding back sleep while watching this, this movie is so boring and not even scary at all, i find this movie funny for a horror movie, i don't know if the monster is a vampire, dracula or devil?
