The Pyramid
this movie is not good but i liked the premise, the cat creatures and Anubis was scary even though the fx weren't the best. it had some decent moments that would be great in a good movie. the guy being killed by being pulled through the tunnel/shaft idk and being bent in half was a decent kill for a bad movie.
The Pyramid
Night 17 of 31 Nights of Halloween The Pyramid The Pyramid doesn't bring much to the found footage genre, but it's actually a very decent horror movies. There isn't any quality scares, just jump scares, but those even managed to make me jump, which is really surprising. I wish the movie would have went a whole different direction (granted, the plot was interesting, but it's misleading when it's not about a mummy), but it's unique and surprisingly decent.
The Pyramid
I wasn't expecting a lot from this movie. It just seemed to be another of the found footage horror movies that are the the biggest craze right now. But, to my surprise, it was one of the better found footage films. I was expecting this to be your typical "mummy" movie, with a curse on the place and a mummy that kills off people one by one and nobody survives. But it wasn't! Instead, it brought more mythology into it, and bringing new creatures to attention. I really admire how the filmmakers didn't go the normal way, but brought new aspects into the movie. No, this wasn't the perfect movie, because halfway through, they stopped their found footage and went to normal footage! It's really odd, but somehow worked for this film. The Pyramid isn't what it seems to be. It brings a whole bunch of new stuff to the table, making future "mummy" movies think about what they are going to do different to be individual, just like this film.
The Pyramid
The second film in my found footage marathon, The Pyramid is a film that stuck with me, and still has stuck with me. There were many things that I liked about the film, with the fact that it was a different location and just had a different feel to it. From what I remember, The Pyramid wasn't the best horror film but was still an entertaining horror film. After this watch, it is still entertaining but really has lost its flair. The film ends up falling into many tropes that other found footage horror films fall into, making the film really generic in some ways. The biggest flaw of the film was the use of CGI, which would have worked if the CGI had been done better. It was extremely clear to see that there was use of some really low budget effects. If these effects had been done better, especially with the budget that the film had, The Pyramid would have been a much better horror film in the end.
