The Predator

This is just a very strange film. The whole thing seems so random and stupid when you think about it for more than two seconds. Some bits are funny but most are just stupid and the film’s depiction of autism is unique to say the least. A strange time .

The Predator

Well, it's here folks. The Predator, a film that I have eagerly been waiting for has finally arrived. To say that this film was an absolute disappointment would be an utter understatement. The Predator is the epitome of everything that I dislike about film. It has a generic plot, which unfolds like any typical blockbuster. The characters have little to no redeeming qualities to them, making a vast majority of the deaths feel meaningless. The script for the film is a mess, as well as the editing. This film could have had the potential to be a decent film, but there was so much going on that was bad that anything that was good was unfortunately overshadowed. The Predator is a film that many people are going to enjoy, it's a popcorn flick that has action and humor in it, but this definitely is not the film for me. It's a shame that this film didn't deliver, since I really did have high hopes for it. Maybe if I watch this with my best friend, who originally introduced me to the Predator franchise I will enjoy it more. Until then, this is 2018's biggest disappointment, and may end up being the worst film of the year. We'll just have to wait and see.

The Predator

This felt nothing like a predator movies tbh. It felt so much different. It had a lot of comedy which I didn't expect whatsoever. The story about the predators trying to evolve/upgrade themselves was very interesting. The way the predators looked was 50/50 in this. Half of the time they look great then they look uncanny. This one I feel like had the least amount of horror so far. I get these films aren't necessarily supposed to be horror but still. The kills in this felt like a normal action movie instead of horror. The cast was fine, the stand out for me was Olivia Munn. I did like some of the comedy surrounding the main cast though. I did laugh at how stupid it was sometimes. I also feel like this portrayed predators in a good and bad way in terms of quality. I honestly just enjoyed this for how dumb and funny I found it. Also the whole kid plot thing I found very weird and poorly done. Watching that ending is funny while knowing theres not a follow up too it. I still did enjoy this though. Not as bad as I was expecting.
