Without exaggeration one of the worst films I’ve ever seen at a cinema. Its gimmick is so poorly done and the whole thing is so boring and dull. If this is a hotel horror film then Come and See is a comedy, how on earth is this horror, a six year old wouldn’t be scared at all watching this. It’s so stupid, the ghost picks up books and stationary during the film yet it can’t stop a man murdering a women? Why didn’t the ghost just make the lights go crazy or hit the man with an object in the room? We literally see it do those things throughout the film. The ending is so bad and the twist is so boring, this is genuinely awful. It’s laugh out loud funny how bad the acting and script is, bed time for Timmy or whatever he says is the funniest shit I’ve ever heard in a cinema. The only reason this isn’t half a star is because of how funny it is, it works much better at a comedy than a horror and it’s just a shit film overall.

O exercício experimental que se constrói a partir das decupagem dos espaços, um Found Footage sobrenatural e não ortodoxo e com um designe de som muito intenso. Deixei esse cozinhando por bastante tempo antes de ver e depois da experiência meio amarga com A Hora do Mal, resolvi ver "Presença" esperando um terror de assombração, até pela premissa, mas ele é muito mais a visão intimista e intrusa dentro de uma família desconjuntada, que passou por uma situação traumática envolvendo a filha e o fantasma é o espectador que ninguém esperava e ninguém sabe quem é. Acho muito digno como essa história não é sobre a assombração e o filme deixa dúbio quem é a entidade. É a amiga morta? É um espírito que não teve sua passagem concluída? É algo além? Não existe resposta para além do que você pode pensar extra filme. Mas o que me cativou foi toda a construção de cena. A câmera que usa de grandes angulares pra transformar a casa em uma redoma, os travelings que acompanham a irmã mais nova e os dramas dos pais que são complexados e embora o filme desenhe o pai como a figura fofa e centrada da situação a mãe interpretada por Lucy Liu é uma mulher mais metódica que ama a filha também, mas o apreço pelo filho mais velho é tratado com uma missão, um trabalho, o que faz com que ela o encare de forma mais direta e passiva, mas que delimita momentos de afeto bem pontuais com a filha. Inclusive a conclusão desse filme é tão trágico quanto seco. A catarse da tragédia final é o quebrar das barreiras rígidas de alguém metódico o que é por si só, muito assustador. Se A Ghost Story fosse um filme bom... Seria isso aqui!

Similar to A Ghost Story but with a twist, I think this is not a horror film but a film about family, how a family takes care of each other and accepts the situation. After the twist appeared, I was a bit shocked, confused and sad because all this time my guess was wrong. I just want a Presence to look after me too.
