I still don't understand the hate for this movie. It does one thing Twisters didn't and that is put the main cast inside the tornado, hence the title i guess lol. The way this was filmed is also something i really like, one may say found footage

Into the Storm

I was wanting to watch a natural disaster film, and not having seen this one before, I thought I'd give it a chance. I did want a film with some impressive natural disaster scenes, which this did have, but it did have a lot of character drama that I really didn't care about. Natural disasters are more known for effects over characterization, which isn't the case for Into the Storm. They created characters that you actually cared about, but in the end, I wasn't a huge fan of any of them. The effects were surprisingly well done, and gave some great sequences showing just how brutal tornadoes can be. Into the Storm was a lot of fun to watch with my roommate and their sister, and one that I'll have to revisit so I can actually pay attention to the characters, rather than the action sequences.

Into the Storm

Cult of Personality 2023 (https://boxd.it/jw0oo) #6 of 52 | Richard Armitage (https://letterboxd.com/actor/richard-armitage/) Not quite as good as I remember (granted I last watched it upon its release in 2014) but it does have some cool shots and decently tense moments. The best parts are when they focus on the storm chasers, worst parts are when they focus on the dumb kid and his dad. It’s a very weak 3 stars, could even be brought down to 2.5.

Into the Storm

this genuinely was the stupidest movie i’ve ever seen but the set pieces are INCREDIBLE. like even if the rest of the movie was just mildly competent or compelling it would be four stars EASY.
