Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person

Paul: Don't worry. I want to die. Sasha: Then why are you still here? Amei ele,e o final? simples incrível. Foi feito para nós vampiras humanistas, hehe 𖹭 novo filme de conforto desbloqueado. auge do romantismo ok? agora, cadê meu suicida voluntário? :c

2023 était vraiment une bonne année pour le cinéma québécois, wow! i loved everything about this movie, the Addams Family like vibe was very heartwarming and sasha is so endearing. the scene where paul asks her what song she'd like to play as she dies and she sings along and dances to it, i wanted to put her in my pocket and carry her around with me. i wish this was accessible on more streaming platforms, i know a bunch of my friends on film twitter have been wanting to watch this movie but can't find it anywhere and it's so so good, it deserves to be available for everyone to watch. side note: this made me realise how weak english curse words and insults are because "idiot" isn't strong enough to be the translation for "esti d'cave"

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person

I saw my friend log this film, and it immediately caught my attention because of the long-ass title. From the title alone, you can already guess what this film is about—yes, it's about a "humanist" vampire seeking a consenting suicidal person. This film is definitely unique and interesting. The idea of a vampire asking for consent from a suicidal person just to drink their blood had never crossed my mind before, which is why I became interested in it. I have so many reasons why this film became one of my favorites, but the main one is how much I relate to Paul. A suicidal person doesn't actually want to die—they just want to live normally and peacefully like everyone else. He doesn't deserve all of that shit, and thank God Sasha was there to help him. I also want to mention one of the scenes that made me cry—when Paul wrote a letter to his mother. It felt like he had already prepared himself for what was going to happen. But overall, I genuinely find comfort in this film. It's another beautifully shot film with a deeply emotional story.
