willingly come to the theaters and letting my heart broken by this film again. still love the way we unpacked all these complicated misunderstandings from each perspective and everything is stitches up in the end. the dialogue, the mannerism, the decorated abandon train; between minato and yori, kept reminds me that i'm watching a film about literal kids. how sad that everyone around them failed to protect these precious kids.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

since the day they announced Kathryn Newton joined Samara Weaving as the main character for the sequel, i knew i was seated for the ride and they really don't disappoint! what a fucking duo! though it was not that strong like the first film, i truly appreciate the sequel. it's pretty much enjoyable and still nightmarish. the arena and the deaths are fun. Samara and Kathryn chemistry as sisters is good, but the side characters are not that interesting to me. absolutely poetic ending! just give her the damn cigarette god damn it you filthy people!

it's truly terrifying how a simple thing like sound has the ability to haunt and torture you to an extent. as much as i hate the camera movement, it actually adds to the tension and scares the shit out of me, not to mention the sound effects. i need a good wind down session to calm myself down after this.

Project Hail Mary

Project Hail Mary

RYAN GOATLING! project hail mary reminds me so much of the martian and interstellar. what an adorable, thrilling, and fun space journey. the cinematography is truly impeccable and the scores is such a perfect mate for it. the ending could've never been more perfect than that. overall, this film was so beautifully made! i loved and enjoyed every second of it. one of the best cinema experience ever!

Murderer Report

born to get edge by leon kennedy, forced to get edge by this film. ignore the first sentence, i feel a little sorry for doubting this at the start because of the thought of having a long ass interview in a hotel room for just the whole film. eventhough it went exactly like that, but they are surprisingly did a good one at delivering the plot and unfolding the truth by slowly building the tension through their conversations. it's a decent one but pretty fun!

i can't help but to say that it was surprisingly pretty entertaining, humorous in a correct placing that it adds tension and balance in some scene, gorey as hell, totally brutal, and action packed from start to end. i'm obsessed with the practical effects! BEN GG!

The Plague

The Plague

watching this film feels like i'm time travelling back to one of the worst timeline of my life which is a little bit triggering not gonna lie and so uncomfortable but anyways! interesting premise with a good execution. i do got a little confused at the beginning about the plot and where they are gonna take me next. the visual is so beautiful, the score is haunting and creepy, and the acting from the casts are done pretty well and successfully portrayed each personality traits.

No Other Choice

No Other Choice

phew what a ride! this film slowly gets darker in the next minutes but the comedy aspect still lingers in every frame throughout the film in a good way, at least for me in more personal reason which was as a balance. imho it was pretty overwhelming in some parts that i wish i can take a break for a second to just calm myself down. i am so in love with the cinematography: they did a very good job with the choices of colors and playing with so many angles and transitions. Son Ye-Jin and Lee Bung-Hyun delivered such a strong performances and are truly my unexpected great duo eventhough i know they are amazing as an individual but their chemistry in here really surprised me.

“This fork is going in your head one way or another. Might as well taste good.” this one definitely hit the spot. it's pretty much slow burn that leaves you with a little confusion here and there at the beginning. the build up is totally creepy and makes you quite uncomfortable with how odd things started to happen and the shadow's presence just keeps haunting around the cabin. Tatiana Maslany's performance truly impressed me, she is so good throughout the film, but especially in that one scene where Malcolm unfolds his life history. i also love every shot and every frame in here, they made it looks somewhat poetic. overall, even though i need a little time to process the story plot, the final act really pays off.

Sinners

Sinners

HOLY SMOKE! (no pun intended) i am speechless. the performances from every single cast are evenly impressive, Wunmi Mosaku, Miles Caton, and Jack O'Connell are the memorable ones for me, but i just want to give Michael B. Jordan a proper shoutout for successfully brings out two characters with such personality. the pacing and the story telling are so easy to engage: from the folklore about music and the evil beings that are so intriguing, to the first frame of Smoke and Stack and their mission to build a Juke Joint as the main premise, and then when they started gathering people, to the actual event, while introducing character after character and the history behind them at the same time. it feels natural and enoughly paced and also make me care even more to each characters. the music itself and the scoring were undoubtedly incredible. the cinematography, the costume, and the special effect make up are straight up the greatest. i am obsessed with every musical and vampire sequences. raising the themes of racism, blues as the main music genre, the role of religion, and the vampire folklore, all in one film, i'd say Sinners beautifully stitches them together. the only thing i hate is how late i am to finally click that damn play button.

The Elixir

The Elixir

i came from a place where i have a pretty high expectation for this film especially because it's a local made and zombie media is one of my favorite genre and this film was not really sold me. sure it has some nice looking cinematography, thrilling camera works, and excellent zombie act like honestly that's maybe one of the good ones, but sadly imho the writing doesn't support the existing good points enough for that outcome. the characters are extremely annoying (i don't know if that's the intention for a more realistic side), the acting is a little stiff, and the inconsistent effect of the zombie attacks were confusing. it feels like a rage bait, just pure dumb after dumb decisions every time like they make me so frustrated that it drives my focus from enjoying it. overall, it's a pretty decent film for funsies.
